All higher degree students presenting a poster during the AHMRC are eligible for the ‘Best of the Best’ Student Poster Award.
Each student’s poster will be assessed by judge(s) representing the society through which the student has registered. These will be judged during the regular poster viewing sessions. Each society will employ their own judging criteria for selection of the finalists.
Each society will have the opportunity to nominate one candidate for the “Best of the Best” finals session.
It is a requirement that all finalists be in attendance and present their poster to the Best of the Best judging panel during the lunch time session, 12.15 – 1:30 pm, Wednesday Nov 28.
*Finalists who are not already registered for the Wednesday session will not be required to pay for registration for that day.
Each finalist will be asked to give a short presentation of their poster, followed by questions from the audience or judging panel. The oral presentation component will be for 3 minutes, whilst questions will be for 2 minutes. The panel of judges will score the presentation out of 40 and the results will be collated at the end of the session.
The decision of the judging panel will be final.
The award winner will be announced during the afternoon tea break on Wednesday Nov 28.
