PUBLIC TRANSPORTBy far the easiest way to get around Melbourne is to use its public transport network of trains, trams and buses. To view public transport maps, prices, timetables and information please visit www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au. VISA INFORMATIONVisas and Electronic Travel Authority (ETA):
A number of nationalities do not need a Visa to travel to Australia. Instead, an ETA is an electronically stored authority for travel to Australia. ETA information is accessible by airlines, travel agents and Australian border agencies. You do not need to visit a departmental office to submit an application and you will not receive a stamp or label in your passport. However, you will be provided with a confirmation for your records. Your ETA is linked to the passport number you used in your application and you must use the same passport to travel to Australia. To find out if your nationality is included in this easy system; and for full details, view www.immi.gov.au/visitors/_pdf/general-events.pdf If your country is not listed, then you will have to apply for a visa – details can be found at http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/business/business-visit-visa-options.htm |
